Overseer Willie Douglas III is the second child born on January 3, 1977 in Houston, Texas to the late Barbara Moore and Willie Douglas, Sr. After his parents divorced, he moved to Shreveport, La. He accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior at the age of seven at the Star of the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church where his grandparents were the co-founders. At the age of sixteen, he united with the Church of the Living God PGT. He accepted his calling into the ministry March 1994 and preached his first sermon April 1994. He was Licensed in 1996 and Ordained in 2001. He has served as Minister of Music, Finance Director, Pulpit Conductor, Kitchen Committee, Spiritual Advisor to Pastoral Care, Assistant Director of Education, and Minister Liaison. On the Diocese Level he serves as Administrative Assistant to Bishop E.FG. Grey. On the National Level he has served as Training Union Assistant as well as National Training President for 25 years. He currently serves as the Adjutant to Bishop Maiden and Minister’s Liaison. He served as Pastor of Cornerstone Church of the Living God PGT for 10 years. On January 01, 2025, he was appointed to the Church of the Living God PGT Temple #1 in Decatur, Illinois. During the National Holy Convocation in 2022 he was elevated to the position of Overseer. He is an alumnus of the greatest high school on planet earth Captain Shreve High School. He holds an Associate of Science in Criminal Justice Administration from Southern University @ Shreveport and a Bachelor of Science in General Studies w/ minor in Criminal Justice from Louisiana State University @ Shreveport. While in college is listed among Who’s Who among College Students
He is married to Sonita Douglas. Together they have seven beautiful children (Akira, Zaria, Travion, Robert III, Timothy, Chancell, and TaDarius); 3 delightful grandchildren (Ana, Zoe, and Duan III). He is an avid reader, enjoy working for the Lord, playing video games, cooking his world-famous Turkey Legs, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
